Privacy policy

BritStack apps run entirely in your browser. Your case data, tenant records, financial figures, child's details — none of it leaves your device. We don't see it, we don't store it, we don't back it up.

The only personal data we (and our payment processor Stripe) handle is the email address you give us at checkout, plus the billing details Stripe needs to process payment. That's it.

BritStack is a UK sole-trader brand operated by the seller listed on your purchase receipt. For data protection requests contact contact@britstack.co.uk.

• Email address — entered at checkout, used to send you the receipt and download link
• Billing details (name, country, card data) — collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. We see only your name and country.
• Order history — which product you bought, when, and the amount
• Server logs from our hosting provider (Vercel) for security and reliability — IP, browser, timestamp. Retained 30 days.

We do not use any analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or session-replay tools.

Nothing leaves your device.Each BritStack app stores all data in your browser's localStorage — only on the computer where you type it. Closing the tab keeps it. Clearing your browser cache wipes it. There is no cloud sync, no account, no telemetry.

When you click Backup & Export inside an app, it downloads a JSON file to your computer. That file contains personal data — treat it like any sensitive document. We never see it.

• Email — to deliver your purchase and respond to support questions (lawful basis: contract performance)
• Billing data — to take payment and meet UK tax / accounting obligations (lawful basis: contract + legal obligation)
• Server logs — to detect abuse and fix outages (lawful basis: legitimate interest)

• HMRC — only when legally required (annual tax filings, audits)

We never sell, rent, or share your data with marketers or data brokers.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (we'll keep tax-record minimums)
• Receive your data in a portable format
• Object to processing or withdraw consent

Email contact@britstack.co.uk with your request — we respond within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our response, you can complain to the UK ICO at ico.org.uk.

This site sets one essential cookie used by Vercel to route requests. No analytics, no marketing, no tracking cookies. The Stripe checkout page (when you click Buy) sets its own cookies — see Stripe's privacy policy.

If we change anything that affects you, we'll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, email anyone with an active purchase.
